Description

The CeramicSpeed Evo386 Shimano Bottom Bracket is a precision-engineered component built for riders who refuse to compromise on drivetrain efficiency. At Rs. 37,800, it sits firmly in the premium tier — and for good reason. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats or logging training kilometres around Pune, this bottom bracket is built to keep your drivetrain spinning with minimal friction and maximum reliability. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

India's riding conditions are demanding: monsoon humidity, dust from broken tarmac, and sustained heat above 35°C accelerate bearing wear in lesser bottom brackets. CeramicSpeed's Evo386 addresses this directly. The ceramic bearing construction reduces friction and resists corrosion far better than standard steel bearings, making it a sensible long-term investment for serious riders in Chennai, Hyderabad, or anywhere the Indian climate tests your components hard. Fewer service intervals mean more time riding.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Bottom bracket sizing is about shell standard and crank compatibility, not body size. The Evo386 uses the 386 EVO shell standard and is designed for Shimano cranks. Before ordering, confirm your frame's bottom bracket shell standard and your crankset model. If in doubt, share your frame and groupset details with the Cobbled Climbs team — we're happy to verify fit before your order ships from Mumbai.

Compatibility Notes

The Evo386 is compatible with 386 EVO shell frames and Shimano cranksets across 10, 11, and 12-speed groupsets. It suits both road and mountain applications as specified. Clean the shell thoroughly before installation and apply appropriate grease or anti-seize to the threads. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct preload and avoid bearing damage from improper torquing.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain upgrade by pairing this bottom bracket with a quality Shimano crankset, a compatible chain selected for your groupset speed, a precision chain wear checker, and a dedicated ceramic-compatible drivetrain lubricant suited to Indian monsoon and dry-season conditions.

Fitting

The Evo386 fits frames built around the 386 EVO bottom bracket shell standard — confirm this matches your frame before ordering. It is engineered for Shimano cranks and works across 10, 11, and 12-speed groupset configurations on both road and mountain setups. Unlike clothing or footwear, bottom bracket fit is entirely about component compatibility rather than rider body measurements. When in doubt, consult your frame's specification sheet or contact the Cobbled Climbs team with your frame brand, model, and crankset details for confirmation before purchase.
