Exar Ultradark Carbon DISC Wheelset

Indian roads demand wheels that can handle Pune's expressway smoothness one moment and Hyderabad's potholed service roads the next. The Magene Exar Ultradark Carbon DISC Wheelset is a serious performance upgrade — built with carbon construction, tubeless compatibility, and disc-brake-specific engineering for riders who want every ride to feel faster and more responsive. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

At Rs. 1,03,900, the Exar Ultradark positions itself as a genuine race-day and training wheel for Indian riders. Carbon rims reward climbers grinding up Lonavala or the Nilgiris toward Ooty, while the stiff lateral feel translates directly into confident cornering on the Western Ghats' sweeping descents. For riders in Chennai or Ahmedabad who train in 35°C+ heat, the disc-brake setup removes heat-related rim concerns entirely — a real-world advantage over rim-brake carbon wheels.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit is about three checks: axle standard (QR or thru-axle dimensions), brake interface (Centerlock or 6-bolt disc), and cassette body (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo). Confirm all three against your frame spec before ordering. Also verify maximum tyre clearance — wider carbon rims pair best with tyres that match the internal rim width for correct tyre profile.

Compatibility Notes

These wheels are tubeless-ready — you will need tubeless-compatible tyres, valve stems, and sealant to complete the setup. Rim tape may or may not be pre-installed; confirm with Magene's documentation. Disc rotor mounting standard (Centerlock or 6-bolt) must match your existing rotors or hubs. Use a calibrated torque wrench on all axle interfaces.

Pairs Well With

Complete the build with performance road or gravel tyres sized to the rim's internal width, a tubeless sealant and valve kit, disc brake rotors in the correct mounting standard, and a quality floor pump with pressure gauge for consistent tubeless inflation. Ordered together, these qualify for free delivery above Rs. 2,500.
