Extreme Avid Carbon DISC Brake Pads

Disc brake performance lives and dies by pad quality. On monsoon-slicked roads from Lonavala to Coorg, or during long descents through the Western Ghats, the Alligator Extreme Avid Carbon DISC Brake Pads delivers the modulation and heat control that riders need when conditions turn demanding. Engineered specifically for disc systems, these pads are a focused upgrade over generic replacements.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Riders tackling the Western Ghats, Ooty switchbacks, or Pune's rain-soaked ring roads know that braking confidence is everything. Alligator's Extreme Avid Carbon pads are formulated for disc systems where heat buildup and wet-weather consistency matter most. At Rs. 1,490, this is one of the most practical safety upgrades an Indian cyclist can make — effective across scorching summer riding and unpredictable monsoon conditions alike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These pads are designed for Avid disc brake systems — confirm your caliper model before ordering. Sizing here means compatibility, not body fit: verify your rotor diameter (typically 140mm, 160mm, or 180mm) and mount standard. In India's heat, sintered compounds generally handle thermal stress better than organic pads on long descents.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for Avid disc brake calipers. Confirm caliper model compatibility before installation. Match pad compound to your rotor material — never use carbon-specific pads on alloy rotors. Check rotor diameter and mount type (post-mount or flat-mount). Inspect rotors for wear before fitting new pads. Clean rotors with isopropyl alcohol after installation to avoid contamination.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking setup with compatible disc rotors in the correct diameter, hydraulic brake fluid or a bleed kit if running a hydraulic system, a torque wrench for precise caliper mounting, and quality brake cables or hose for mechanical disc setups.
