Falcon Tri Alloy Extension

Triathlon racing demands every marginal gain you can find, and the cockpit is where aerodynamics and comfort meet. The Controltech Falcon Tri Alloy Extension Clip on brings a purpose-built aero position to your existing base bar setup, making it a practical and affordable route into Time-trial and triathlon positioning for Indian riders at all levels.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For triathletes training on the flat coastal roads around Chennai, the long highway stretches near Pune, or competing in open-water events near Hyderabad, a quality tri extension delivers a genuine aero advantage without a full bike overhaul. The alloy construction keeps this accessible and durable — a solid choice for riders new to the aero position or those seeking a reliable backup setup for race day.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Tri extensions are fitted to your existing base bar, so your bar clamp diameter must match. Pad width and reach affect shoulder comfort — Indian riders transitioning from road bikes often prefer a slightly narrower pad stack to manage heat-induced swelling on long rides above 35°C. Start conservative with reach and adjust progressively.

Compatibility Notes

Designed as a clip-on extension for existing road or triathlon base bars. Verify your base bar clamp diameter before ordering. Standard clip-on mounting suits most road handlebars. Check bolt torque specifications during installation and re-check after initial rides. Aluminium construction is straightforward to maintain in humid monsoon conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your tri cockpit with a compatible triathlon base bar, aero-position cycling gloves for pad comfort on long efforts, a quality saddle suited to the forward tri position, and a torque wrench for safe installation and ongoing adjustments.
