Flare Nut Wrench 7 & 8

Hydraulic brake line fittings and cable end nuts demand a specific tool — and using the wrong one strips threads fast. The Birzman Flare Nut Wrench 7 & 8 gives workshop mechanics and home wrench-turners in India a precise, dedicated solution for the fittings that ordinary spanners damage. At Rs. 890, it is a small investment that protects far more expensive components.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Indian riding conditions — monsoon-soaked brake lines, dust-clogged hydraulic fittings, and the salt humidity of coastal cities like Mumbai and Chennai — make brake system maintenance more frequent than in Europe. The Birzman Flare Nut Wrench 7 & 8 is the right tool for undoing and re-seating olive fittings and brake line nuts without rounding them off. Keep one on your workshop bench; you will reach for it more often than you expect.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a hand tool, not apparel — sizing does not apply in the traditional sense. The wrench covers the 7mm and 8mm flare nut sizes used across most hydraulic brake systems and cable end fittings on road and mountain bikes. If you are unsure which fitting size your brake system uses, check your brake manufacturer's manual or contact Cobbled Climbs before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for 7mm and 8mm flare nut fittings commonly found on hydraulic brake line connectors and cable-end nuts across major brake brands. Not a substitute for a standard open-end spanner on hex bolts. Store dry to prevent surface oxidation — particularly important during India's monsoon season when workshop humidity spikes.

Pairs Well With

Complete your workshop setup by pairing this wrench with a hydraulic brake bleed kit, a set of workshop hex keys or torque wrenches, a bottle of brake mineral oil or DOT fluid appropriate for your system, and a quality bike work stand for stable access to brake components.
