Galaxia Roller Bicycle Trainer

Rollers demand real skill — balance, smooth pedal stroke, and focus. The Tacx Galaxia Roller Bicycle Trainer brings a fluid, road-like feel to indoor training, making it a favourite among Indian cyclists who want to sharpen technique during monsoon downpours or brutal summer heat when outdoor riding simply isn't possible. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Indoor training. Structured workouts via Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo SYSTM.

Race day prep. Smart-trainer simulation of race-day power demands.

Year-round training. Indoor riding through Indian monsoon, peak heat, and pollution-heavy days.

Our Take

The Galaxia stands apart from fixed trainers by keeping your bike free to move naturally, which sharpens balance and pedalling efficiency over time. For Indian riders in Chennai, Pune, or Delhi who lose weeks to monsoon or 38°C+ afternoons, consistent roller sessions translate directly into stronger outdoor legs. The progressive resistance design rewards effort without overwhelming the setup with unnecessary complexity.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Rollers are not sized like clothing, but bike compatibility matters. The Galaxia accommodates a wide range of wheel sizes — confirm your tyre width and wheel diameter match Tacx's stated range before ordering. Indian riders using hybrid or touring bikes should double-check fitment. Contact Cobbled Climbs if you're unsure — our team can advise based on your specific bike geometry and setup.

Compatibility Notes

The Tacx Galaxia works with standard road and most hybrid bicycle tyres. No cassette swap is required — your wheel stays on the bike. It is not a smart trainer, so direct app control is unavailable, though you can pair a separate power meter or speed sensor for data. Keep the roller drums clean and check tyre pressure regularly for consistent performance.

Pairs Well With

Complete your indoor training setup with a quality training mat to protect your floor and dampen vibration, a high-airflow fan for ventilation during intense sessions, a sweat guard to protect your frame from corrosion, and a handlebar-mounted cycling computer or phone mount for tracking your ride data.
