Grimpeur Road Wheelset

The Parcours Grimpeur Road Wheelset is built for riders who take climbing seriously — whether that means the switchbacks above Lonavala, the long grinds toward Ooty, or the punchy ascents around Coorg. Precision-built hubs, optimised bearing placement, and a design philosophy centred on road performance make this a wheelset that rewards riders who put in the kilometres. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

The name says it all — grimpeur means climber. On India's best climbs, from the Western Ghats to the Nilgiris, every gram at the rim matters more than anywhere else on the bike. The Parcours Grimpeur is a purposeful tool for riders who want a genuine performance upgrade without compromising the day-to-day durability that Indian road surfaces demand. At Rs. 1,18,600, this is a serious investment that delivers serious returns on gradient.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit is not about European versus Indian sizing — it is about three compatibility checks: axle standard (QR 130/135mm or thru-axle 12x100/12x142mm), brake type (rim or disc, Centerlock or 6-bolt), and cassette body (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo). Indian summers above 35°C can stress rim brake tracks — confirm your pad compound matches the rim surface material before riding hard descents.

Compatibility Notes

Confirm frame axle standard, brake interface, and cassette body before ordering. Tubeless-ready rims require tubeless-compatible tyres, sealant, and valves — tubeless-ready does not mean pre-set. Rim brake variants require the correct pad compound for the rim surface material. Check Parcours's recommended service intervals for hub bearings, particularly if riding through monsoon conditions where water and grit accelerate bearing wear.

Pairs Well With

Complete the Grimpeur setup with high-performance road tyres matched to the rim's internal width, quality tubeless sealant and valve kit for monsoon-season security, a calibrated torque wrench for proper installation, and lightweight bidon cages to keep the weight savings consistent across the whole build.
