H613 Heart Rate Monitor

The Magene H613 Heart Rate Monitor delivers accurate ANT+ and Bluetooth 5.0 dual-mode connectivity, making it compatible with cycling computers, smartphones, and indoor training apps. Its adjustable chest strap design ensures secure placement during monsoon rides through Lonavala's climbs or summer training sessions in Delhi's 40°C heat, while the replaceable CR2032 battery offers extended use without charging interruptions.

Our Take

For Indian riders seeking reliable heart rate data without subscription fees or charging hassles, the H613 hits the sweet spot. The dual-mode connectivity works smoothly with Garmin, Wahoo, Zwift, and TrainerRoad setups, while the IPX7 waterproofing handles Mumbai's monsoon downpours and sweat-soaked climbs through the Western Ghats. At Rs. 5,250 with free delivery, it's sensible training tech that pairs well with mid-range cycling computers. The chest strap format provides more consistent readings than wrist-based sensors during high-intensity intervals on Pune's Sinhagad routes.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The adjustable elastic strap fits chest circumferences from approximately 65cm to 95cm, accommodating most Indian body types. Position the sensor slightly left of centre beneath your pectoral muscles. In 35°C+ conditions across Chennai or Hyderabad, dampen the contact patches before rides to ensure immediate signal pickup. The soft fabric minimizes chafing during 3-hour rides, though riders with smaller frames may need to cinch the strap tighter than European riders would.

Compatibility Notes

Works with ANT+ cycling computers (Garmin Edge, Wahoo ELEMNT series) and Bluetooth 5.0 devices simultaneously. Compatible with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Strava, and other training platforms. The CR2032 battery typically lasts 500+ hours and is widely available at Indian electronics shops. Hand-wash the textile strap separately; the sensor module is IPX7 waterproof but should be removed before washing. Firmware updates available through the Magene Utility app.

Pairs Well With

Consider adding a Wahoo or Garmin cycling computer for on-bike data display, a Wahoo KICKR or Elite trainer for structured indoor workouts, and Castelli or dhb base layers designed to work with chest strap monitors. Power meter pedals from Favero or Garmin complete a comprehensive training setup for tracking fitness gains on Ooty's climbs or Kolkata's flat circuits.
