Helios A8x

The Polygon Helios A8x is a high-performance carbon road bike built around Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting and disc brakes. At Rs. 3,99,990, it represents a serious commitment to road cycling — engineered as a complete, integrated platform where every component is chosen to work in concert, not simply assembled from a parts list. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian road cyclists tackling the Western Ghats climbs around Lonavala, Khandala, or the Nilgiris near Ooty, the Helios A8x delivers precisely where it counts. Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting stays consistent despite monsoon grime and Pune's punishing summer heat above 35°C. The carbon frame keeps weight down on long ascents, and disc brakes provide confident stopping on wet descents — a genuine advantage on India's unpredictable road surfaces.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Polygon uses seat tube length or S/M/L sizing. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to height compared to European averages, so consider sizing down one step if you're between sizes and prefer an aggressive racing position. In hot conditions above 35°C, a slightly relaxed fit reduces fatigue. A professional bike fit after purchase is strongly recommended.

Compatibility Notes

This is a complete bike running Shimano Ultegra Di2 — all drivetrain components are matched and pre-configured. Disc brakes use a standard hydraulic system. Pedals are not included; choose SPD-SL or Look-compatible road pedals. A first-service inspection after the initial 100km is recommended to check cable tension, bolt torques, and derailleur indexing.

Pairs Well With

Complete your Helios A8x setup with clipless road pedals matched to your shoe system, an aerodynamic road helmet for Chennai and Delhi summer rides, performance cycling shoes, a quality CO2 inflator and mini pump for puncture readiness, and a cycling computer for training data.
