Hfa309 Needle

The Jagwire HFA309 Needle is a precision brake small part designed for cyclists who demand reliable stopping performance across India's varied riding conditions — from the steep switchbacks of Lonavala and Khandala to the traffic-heavy streets of Delhi, Pune, and Hyderabad. A small component that plays a meaningful role in your overall brake system's consistency and feel.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Brake system reliability in Indian conditions comes down to every component in the chain, and the Jagwire HFA309 Needle is no exception. Whether you're managing modulation on a slick monsoon descent through the Western Ghats or navigating stop-start Chennai traffic, precision-engineered small parts like this keep your braking crisp and predictable. Jagwire's quality control on these components is consistently dependable for everyday and performance riding alike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a brake small part rather than a sized component, so fit is about compatibility rather than body measurements. Confirm your brake system type — hydraulic disc, mechanical disc, or rim brake — before ordering. In India's high-heat and monsoon environments, ensuring correct installation matters as much as component selection. When in doubt, have a local mechanic confirm fitment.

Compatibility Notes

Verify compatibility with your specific brake lever and caliper model before fitting. The HFA309 Needle is a Jagwire-sourced replacement part; cross-reference your brake system's service documentation to confirm fitment. Clean and inspect surrounding components during installation. If paired with hydraulic brakes, use only manufacturer-specified bleed fluid to avoid seal damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your brake service with compatible brake cables or hydraulic bleed kits, quality brake pads matched to your rotor or rim type, a precision torque wrench for safe installation, and brake housing or compressionless cable outer if you're doing a full cable refresh.
