Hk-vx055-diy+ DISC Brake Pads

Disc brake performance in India demands more than dry-weather adequacy. From monsoon-soaked Mumbai roads to punishing Western Ghats descents and the stop-start chaos of Pune city traffic, your brake pads are tested constantly. The Alligator HK-VX055-DIY+ Disc Brake Pads are designed to deliver consistent stopping power and reliable modulation across exactly these demanding conditions.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 560, these Alligator pads offer a practical, no-fuss upgrade for riders who log serious kilometres on Indian roads. Whether you're descending the Ghats near Lonavala, navigating Hyderabad's waterlogged roads during July, or grinding through Bangalore's daily traffic, consistent bite and fade resistance matter far more than marginal weight savings. Alligator has a long-standing reputation for quality brake components, and the DIY+ designation signals straightforward installation for home mechanics.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These are disc brake pads — sizing means caliper compatibility, not body measurements. Confirm your brake caliper brand and model before ordering. Check whether your system uses post-mount or flat-mount, and verify rotor diameter (140, 160, or 180mm). Pad compound — organic, semi-metallic, or sintered — should match your rotor type and riding style. Sintered compounds handle heat better in sustained Ghat descents; organic compounds offer better initial bite in mixed conditions.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with disc brake systems only — not suitable for rim brake calipers. Confirm caliper model compatibility with the HK-VX055 fitment before purchase. Rotor diameter and mount standard (post or flat) must match your frame and fork specifications. Do not mix pad compounds across front and rear if your rotors differ in type. Inspect rotors for scoring before fitting new pads.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking setup with compatible disc rotors in the appropriate diameter, a quality torque wrench for safe caliper installation, hydraulic bleed kits if your system requires annual servicing, and brake-specific lubricants for caliper pivot maintenance.
