Hk-xq52-diy DISC Brake Caliper Adapter

A disc brake caliper adapter is a small but critical component that lets you mount a brake caliper correctly when your frame or fork's mount standard does not match your rotor size or caliper type. The Alligator HK-XQ52-DIY Disc Brake Caliper Adapter is a precision-machined solution for riders who need a reliable, correctly-spaced caliper position on their build or upgrade project.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding conditions — monsoon-soaked descents in Coorg, long Ghat braking into Khandala, or stop-start traffic in Pune and Hyderabad — demand that every component in your brake system is correctly aligned. A mismatched caliper mount causes uneven pad wear, brake rub, and reduced stopping power. This Alligator adapter solves that problem neatly at an accessible price, making it a smart buy for home builders and mechanics working on disc-equipped bikes.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a sized garment, but compatibility is everything. Confirm your frame or fork's mount standard — post-mount or flat-mount — and your intended rotor diameter before ordering. Indian riders upgrading older frames to disc brakes should double-check both front and rear mounts independently, as they can differ on the same bike. When in doubt, consult a mechanic before fitting.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for disc brake systems only. Confirm caliper mount type (post-mount or flat-mount) and rotor diameter to select the correct adapter specification. Use a calibrated torque wrench when fitting — under-torquing risks caliper movement under braking; over-torquing can strip aluminium threads. Apply thread-lock compound as specified by the manufacturer. Not compatible with rim brake systems.

Pairs Well With

Complete your disc brake setup by also considering disc brake rotors in your required diameter, quality brake pads matched to your rotor surface type, a torque wrench for correct installation, and hydraulic brake bleed kits or brake cables and housing depending on your system type.
