Hub End Cap Rear 177 Disc Qr

A hub end cap might seem like a minor detail, but the Zipp Hub End Cap Rear 177 Disc QR is the kind of precision component that keeps your wheel secured correctly in a quick-release disc brake system. Designed for Zipp's 177 rear hub, this replacement part ensures your axle interface remains tight, correctly aligned, and free from the play that can compromise disc brake performance and overall wheel feel.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

For riders on Zipp wheels in India — whether you're logging kilometres on Pune's Sinhagad Road, grinding up to Nandi Hills, or chasing pace around Chennai's ECR — a loose or damaged end cap quietly degrades wheel feel and disc brake alignment. The 177 QR end cap restores the precise fit Zipp engineered from the start. At Rs. 1,690 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, this is an inexpensive fix that protects a significant wheel investment.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This end cap is specific to the Zipp 177 rear hub in quick-release (QR) disc configuration. It is not interchangeable with thru-axle variants or non-disc 177 hubs. Indian riders should confirm their hub model number before ordering — check the hub shell or original packaging. Zipp hub model numbers are typically printed on the hub flange or available via the wheel's original documentation.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible exclusively with Zipp 177 rear disc hubs in quick-release spacing. Does not fit thru-axle (12mm) versions of the 177 hub or the Zipp 188 hub. Ensure your frame accepts QR axle spacing before installing. Clean the end cap seating surface before fitting to prevent contamination migrating toward brake rotor or bearings.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing this end cap with Zipp-compatible bearing replacement kits to complete a full hub service, quality hub lubricant or grease for reassembly, a spoke tension tool if you're truing the wheel during the service, and a torque wrench for precise axle nut tightening.
