Juicy 3 Mountain DISC Caliper Service Kit

Keeping your Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brakes in peak condition is non-negotiable on India's varied terrain — from rain-slicked Pune–Lonavala descents to the punishing heat of a Chennai summer ride. This caliper service kit gives you everything needed to restore braking feel, replace worn internals, and keep your stopping power consistent across conditions. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Rotor in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Avid Juicy 3 Mountain DISC Caliper Service Kit is a smart, affordable investment for any MTB rider who relies on their brakes in demanding conditions. At Rs. 750, it makes preventive maintenance genuinely accessible. Western Ghats and Nilgiri descents generate real heat and stress — servicing your caliper annually keeps modulation sharp and prevents the spongy feel that creeps in when seals age in India's humidity.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This kit is specific to the Avid Juicy 3 caliper — confirm your brake model before ordering. No size selection is needed, but do verify your mount type (post-mount or flat-mount) and rotor diameter (140mm, 160mm, or 180mm) match your frame and fork specs. Riders in high-humidity regions like Kolkata or Coorg may find annual servicing especially beneficial.

Compatibility Notes

Designed exclusively for the Avid Juicy 3 hydraulic disc brake caliper. The Juicy 3 uses DOT 5.1 fluid — do not substitute with mineral oil, as this damages internal seals. Post-service, bleed the system fully before riding. Compatible with standard post-mount frames; use an adapter for flat-mount applications.

Pairs Well With

Complete your brake service with a dedicated hydraulic bleed kit, DOT 5.1 brake fluid, fresh Avid-compatible brake pads suited to your rotor compound, and a quality torque wrench for precise caliper bolt installation. A rotor truing fork is also worth keeping in your workshop kit.
