Kagura Direct Drive XDR Body for SRAM

The Minoura Kagura Direct Drive XDR Body is a replacement freehub body designed specifically for SRAM's XDR cassette standard. If you run a SRAM road or gravel groupset and need to upgrade or replace your hub's cassette interface, this precision-machined component slots directly into the Kagura hub system, restoring smooth engagement and reliable drivetrain performance without replacing the entire wheel. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riders running SRAM AXS or any XDR-compatible groupset — popular choices among Pune and Hyderabad sportive riders — this freehub body is a smart, cost-effective fix. India's variable road surfaces, from Lonavala's wet climbs to Delhi's summer tarmac, put real stress on drivetrain interfaces. Replacing a worn freehub body rather than the whole hub or wheel is the sensible, economical call. Minoura's Kagura system is well-regarded for precise machining and consistent engagement.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a sized item, but compatibility is everything. Confirm your Kagura hub model before ordering — the XDR body suits SRAM road and gravel cassettes with the 1.85mm-wider XDR interface. Riders running Shimano HG or Campagnolo cassettes need different bodies. In India's heat, freehub pawls can wear faster with infrequent lubrication — clean and regrease regularly.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible exclusively with Minoura Kagura hubs and SRAM XDR cassettes (road and gravel 12-speed). Not compatible with Shimano HG, Micro Spline, or Campagnolo standards. Installation requires basic workshop tools and bearing press in some cases. Follow Minoura's recommended torque settings. Check hub axle and end-cap configuration remains unchanged after fitting.

Pairs Well With

Match this freehub body with a SRAM XDR-compatible 12-speed cassette, quality hub grease or freehub-specific lubricant, a cassette lockring tool, and a chain wear indicator to keep the full drivetrain in good condition. A complete drivetrain service kit rounds things out perfectly.
