Organic Formula RO/The One/Mega Aero Kool Disc Brake Pads

The Kool-Stop KS-D330K disc brake pads bring professional-grade stopping performance to Indian roads, pairing a forged aluminium backing plate with cooling pins and a high-performance organic compound. Whether you're descending into Lonavala or navigating rain-soaked streets in Chennai, reliable modulation and heat dissipation matter every single time you reach for the brake lever.

Our Take

India's mix of long Ghats descents, potholed city roads, and unpredictable monsoon surfaces demands brake pads that shed heat quickly and maintain feel. The KS-D330K's forged aluminium back with integrated cooling pins addresses exactly that. The organic compound offers progressive modulation rather than an abrupt grab — welcome news for anyone threading through Pune or Hyderabad traffic. At roughly 21 grams per pair, they add almost nothing to your build weight.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Disc brake pads are selected by rotor and caliper compatibility rather than rider body measurements. The KS-D330K is designed for Formula Oro R1 and The One calipers with spring included. Verify your caliper model before ordering. Rider weight matters for pad longevity on hot climbs — heavier riders on steep Ooty or Coorg descents may see faster wear with organic compounds and should plan for earlier replacement intervals.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for Formula Oro R1 and The One disc brake calipers; equivalent to the D330 range. Pads include the retention spring. Organic compound works with steel and aluminium rotors. Bed in properly on a quiet road before committing to full-load descents. Keep pads clear of chain lube and tyre sealant contamination.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing with quality disc rotors for consistent braking surface contact, hydraulic brake fluid compatible with Formula systems for clean caliper maintenance, rotor-specific disc brake cleaner for contamination prevention, and a torque wrench set to ensure correct caliper mounting torque on Indian road surfaces.
