Organic Shimano Zee/Saint W/Spring Aero Kool Disc Brake Pads

The Kool-Stop KS-D640K Aero Kool disc brake pads are engineered for Shimano Zee and Saint hydraulic disc systems, bringing forged aluminium backing with integrated cooling fins and a high-performance organic compound to serious trail and enduro riding across India's demanding terrain — from the rocky descents of Coorg to the steep switchbacks above Ooty.

Our Take

India's trail scene is growing fast, and riders tackling technical descents in places like Lonavala, Khandala, and the Western Ghats need brake pads that manage heat consistently. The KS-D640K's forged aluminium backing with cooling pins actively dissipates heat during long braking zones, while the organic compound offers progressive, confident feel. For riders who push Shimano Zee or Saint systems hard on rough Indian roads, these pads are a smart, reliable upgrade over stock.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Brake pads are a universal fit item — sizing refers to caliper compatibility rather than rider size. These pads are designed for Shimano Zee and Saint hydraulic disc calipers. Note that KS-D640K is NOT compatible with the Saint BR-M810 caliper; check your caliper model number before ordering. Riders across Pune, Hyderabad, and Delhi should verify their exact caliper generation before purchase.

Compatibility Notes

Fits Shimano Zee and Saint hydraulic disc brake calipers (excluding Saint BR-M810). Features a spring retention system for secure pad seating. The organic compound pairs well with clean or lightly contaminated rotors. Clean rotors with isopropyl alcohol before installation and bed in pads with 20–30 light stops before full hard braking.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking system with matching Shimano Zee or Saint brake levers and calipers, quality disc rotors sized for your wheel, rotor lockring tools for installation, and a durable mountain bike chain for drivetrain confidence on the same demanding trails.
