L508 Radar Tail Light

The Magene L508 Radar Tail Light is built for riders who take visibility seriously — not just being seen, but actively detecting vehicles approaching from behind. For Indian roads, where traffic unpredictability is a daily reality whether you're climbing out of Pune on NH48, riding coastal Chennai routes, or navigating Delhi's pre-dawn streets, integrated radar changes how confidently you ride. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Commuting. Be-seen lighting for early-morning and evening rides in traffic.

Group rides. Rear visibility for low-light conditions on group rides.

Daytime running. Daytime-flash mode for visibility on Indian roads.

Our Take

The L508 does something most tail lights don't: it alerts you to approaching vehicles via connected head unit or Garmin-compatible device, turning a passive safety tool into an active one. For Indian riders dealing with fast-moving trucks on Lonavala descents or poorly lit Hyderabad ring roads, real-time rear traffic detection is a genuine safety improvement, not a luxury feature. Waterproof construction handles monsoon riding reliably, and LED output keeps you visible even in daytime haze.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The L508 mounts to standard seatposts and is not size-dependent in the traditional clothing sense. What matters is your seatpost diameter and whether your saddle bag leaves clearance for the mount. Riders using aero seatposts or integrated seat systems common on triathlon or TT bikes should verify mount compatibility before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

The Magene L508 transmits radar data to compatible head units — Garmin Edge devices and Magene's own Cyclocomputers are primary targets. It is waterproof and suitable for monsoon conditions. Charges via USB. Verify your head unit supports radar input before purchase — not all computers display radar alerts.

Pairs Well With

Complete your safety setup with a compatible GPS cycling computer (for radar display), a high-output front light rated for night riding, a handlebar mount for your computer, and a saddle bag with seatpost clearance designed around a rear light mount.
