Lava Thermal Bib Tights

India's riding calendar demands serious kit. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats toward Lonavala, riding pre-dawn in Delhi's winter chill, or logging base miles on Pune's outskirts, the Santini Lava Thermal Bib Tights are built to deliver sustained comfort where cheaper alternatives fold under pressure and sweat.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Lava Thermal Bib Tights sit in that sweet spot for Indian riders who face cool early mornings but rising temperatures mid-ride — think Ooty or Coorg climbs where descent chill is real. Santini's multi-density chamois holds its shape over four-hour efforts, and the compressive fabric actively reduces leg fatigue on sustained Ghat climbs. For serious training through India's varied seasons, this is a strong choice at this price point.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Santini follows European race-fit sizing, which runs close-cut through the thigh. Indian riders with fuller thighs relative to waist circumference should size up. Measure both waist and thigh before ordering. The compression feels firm at first but relaxes slightly after the first ride. For endurance days — brevets or 200km rides from Chennai or Hyderabad — size up for breathing room.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for road and endurance cycling across all saddle types. Wear without underwear — chamois moisture management only works skin-direct. Machine wash at 30°C with mild detergent and hang dry to preserve elastic and chamois density. Avoid fabric softeners. Inspect chamois every six months under regular Indian summer use.

Pairs Well With

Complete your kit with a thermal or long-sleeve base layer for cool Ghat mornings, a wind-resistant gilet for descents, quality chamois cream for rides exceeding 60km, and merino or technical cycling socks to manage foot moisture on longer efforts.
