Ly-srg20ud Gear Inner Cable

A gear inner cable is one of the most overlooked yet critical links in your drivetrain. The Alligator LY-SRG20UD Gear Inner Cable is a precision-made replacement cable built to keep your shifting crisp and consistent — whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats, commuting through Pune's traffic, or tackling long weekend rides in the Delhi heat. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's riding environment is demanding: monsoon humidity corrodes unprotected cables, dust from unpaved shoulders grinds into housing, and the heat above 35°C accelerates fatigue in cheaper wire. The Alligator LY-SRG20UD is a smart, affordable upgrade over stock cables. At Rs. 89, replacing it at every major service costs almost nothing but pays back in sharper, more consistent gear changes on every ride.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Gear inner cables are not sized by body measurements — compatibility is determined by your groupset and shifter type. Confirm your drivetrain speed (10, 11, or 12-speed) and shifter brand (Shimano or SRAM) before ordering. Mixed-brand setups often work, but verify before purchase. If in doubt, Cobbled Climbs' team can help you confirm fit before your order ships from Mumbai.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with standard derailleur shifter systems across road and MTB drivetrains. Verify your groupset speed and shifter pull-ratio before fitting. Run through clean, dry cable housing and re-lube after every monsoon wash. Replace housing at the same time as the inner cable for best shifting feel and longevity.

Pairs Well With

For a complete cable service, pair with gear outer cable housing, a quality wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, a chain wear checker tool, and a cable end cap set to finish the install cleanly. All available at Cobbled Climbs.
