Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

Well Go has quietly built a reputation for making clipless pedals that punch above their price. The M279 Du delivers consistent cleat engagement and serviceable bearings that hold up through India's punishing riding calendar — monsoon grit, 35°C+ summer tarmac, and the kind of dusty descents you'll find on roads outside Hyderabad or Ahmedabad. For riders moving off flat pedals for the first time, or looking for a reliable training pair, this is a sensible, well-made choice.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedal sizing here means cleat system compatibility, not shoe size. Confirm your cycling shoe's cleat-mount pattern: 3-bolt for SPD-SL or Look-style, 2-bolt for SPD-style. Riders new to clipless systems or those prone to knee discomfort in India's hilly terrain — think Coorg or Ooty gradients — should opt for cleats offering higher float to reduce lateral stress on joints.

Compatibility Notes

The M279 Du uses the standard 9/16-inch axle thread, fitting virtually all modern crank arms. Verify cleat-mount pattern compatibility with your shoes before ordering. Service sealed bearings every 5,000–10,000 km — especially important for riders who train through the Indian monsoon season. Clean cleat retention mechanisms periodically to remove grit and sand ingress.

Pairs Well With

Complete your clipless setup by pairing the M279 Du with compatible cycling shoes matched to your chosen cleat system, a set of replacement cleats to keep on hand, a quality pedal wrench for installation, and lightweight cycling socks suited to India's warm riding conditions.
