Marvel 38d Carbon DISC Wheelset

The Elite Wheels Marvel 38d Carbon DISC Wheelset is a serious performance upgrade for Indian road cyclists who demand aero efficiency, disc brake precision, and tubeless-ready versatility — whether you're hammering the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, grinding up Lonavala, or navigating the variable tarmac that defines most Indian riding routes.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

At Rs. 64,999, the Marvel 38d positions itself as a genuine performance wheelset for riders who want more than stock equipment. A 38mm carbon rim depth hits the sweet spot between aerodynamic advantage on flat terrain and manageable handling during crosswinds — a real consideration on exposed Ghats roads. Disc braking adds all-weather confidence, which matters when monsoon descents make rim brake modulation unreliable. This is a wheel you buy once and ride for years.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit depends on three exact matches: axle standard (QR or thru-axle dimensions), brake interface (Centerlock or 6-bolt disc), and cassette body type (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo). Indian summers at 35°C+ can affect tyre pressures — run slightly lower pressures with tubeless for better compliance on rough surfaces. Confirm frame tyre clearance before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for disc brake frames only — not compatible with rim brake systems. Tubeless-ready construction requires tubeless-compatible tyres, valve stems, and sealant (not included). Verify your cassette body driver before purchase — Shimano HG and SRAM XDR freehubs are not interchangeable. Use a calibrated torque wrench on all axle interfaces to avoid carbon damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with tubeless road tyres suited to Indian surfaces, a quality tubeless sealant and valve kit, disc brake rotors matched to your calliper specification, and a track pump with pressure gauge for dialling in tyre pressure across varying Indian road conditions.
