Metdomes Metatarsal Pads

The G8 Metdomes Metatarsal Pads are small, targeted inserts designed to sit beneath the metatarsal heads inside your cycling shoe, redistributing pressure across the forefoot. For Indian riders logging long hours on the saddle — whether on Pune's morning training loops, the climbs around Lonavala, or Chennai's flat coastal roads — forefoot numbness and hot-spot pain are common complaints that a well-placed metatarsal pad can address directly.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Forefoot numbness is one of the most under-addressed fit problems among Indian cyclists, often mistaken for shoe size issues. G8's Metdomes lift and spread the metatarsal arch, reducing nerve compression that intensifies during sustained power efforts in 35°C+ heat. The foam-and-rubber construction holds position without bunching, and the low profile fits inside stiff-soled road and gravel shoes without creating unwanted volume. A practical, affordable fix before a costly bike fit.

Sizing for Indian Riders

G8 Metdomes are positioned inside the shoe beneath the ball of the foot, so pad placement matters more than shoe size. Indian riders with wider forefeet — a common trait — benefit from placing the dome slightly inward. Use with thin to medium-weight cycling socks. If your shoe feels snug after adding the pads, consider sizing up half a size in future shoe purchases.

Compatibility Notes

The G8 Metdomes work with virtually any cycling shoe — road, gravel, or MTB — regardless of cleat standard (SPD-SL, Look, or SPD). They sit beneath or in combination with your existing insole. Constructed from foam and rubber, they can be wiped clean after sweaty monsoon rides. Not shoe-specific; one set can transfer between compatible shoes.

Pairs Well With

For a complete foot-comfort setup, consider pairing the G8 Metdomes with a full-length cycling insole for additional arch support, performance cycling socks with forefoot padding, and stiff-soled road or gravel shoes suited to your cleat system. A saddle fit or bike fit session rounds out the package.
