Missing Link 11 Speed

The KMC Missing Link 11-speed is one of those small components that makes a real difference on every ride. A reusable master link designed for 11-speed chains, it lets you open and close your chain without a chain tool — a genuine advantage whether you're doing a roadside repair on a Lonavala climb or prepping your bike for a weekend ride in Coorg or the Nilgiris around Ooty. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 395, the KMC Missing Link is an easy call for any 11-speed rider in India. Dust on Pune's Sinhagad Road, monsoon grime in Chennai, and Himalayan grit near Leh all demand quick chain access. This link makes chain cleaning, replacement, and emergency roadside fixes genuinely tool-free. Keep one in your jersey pocket or saddle bag — you'll be grateful the day you need it, and you will need it.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This Missing Link is spec'd for 11-speed chains only — confirm your drivetrain speed before ordering. It is not compatible with 10-speed or 12-speed chains. Works across road and MTB 11-speed setups from Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, and KMC's own chains. In high-heat conditions above 35°C, ensure the link is fully engaged with an audible click before riding.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all standard 11-speed chains. KMC recommends replacing the Missing Link each time the chain is removed — reuse is possible but limit it to two or three cycles maximum. Clean the link with degreaser after monsoon rides. Not compatible with 10-speed or 12-speed chains. Check KMC's published compatibility list for specific groupset pairings.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain maintenance kit by pairing this Missing Link with an 11-speed chain, a quality chain wear indicator tool, wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, and a compact chain breaker for longer touring routes through Coorg or Leh.
