Ct-lite Platform Pedals

The MKS Ct-lite Platform Pedals bring Japanese precision engineering to everyday cycling. Built from aluminium with a flat platform design, these pedals suit riders who prefer regular shoes over cleats — ideal for city commutes, leisure rides, and casual touring across India's varied terrain, from Chennai's coastal flats to Pune's urban climbs. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Mks Pedal in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

At Rs. 1,995, the MKS Ct-lite punches well above its price in a market flooded with generic platform pedals. MKS has been making pedals in Japan since 1943, and that heritage shows in the machining quality. For Delhi commuters, Hyderabad weekend riders, or anyone doing casual loops around Bangalore's outskirts, this pedal offers a reliable, low-maintenance platform that handles heat, dust, and occasional monsoon splashes without complaint.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Platform pedals are cleat-free, so shoe compatibility is not a concern — any flat-soled shoe works. That said, riders with larger feet (EU 44+) common among taller Indian riders from Punjab or Maharashtra will appreciate the platform area. The aluminium body stays cooler than plastic alternatives in 35°C+ conditions, reducing discomfort on long summer rides.

Compatibility Notes

The Ct-lite uses a standard 9/16-inch axle thread, fitting virtually all adult crank arms. Compatible with road, hybrid, and mountain bike cranks. No cleats required. Clean periodically with a damp cloth; avoid high-pressure jet washing directly at the axle bearing. Suitable for casual and moderate riding loads.

Pairs Well With

Complete your flat-pedal setup with grippy flat-sole cycling shoes or casual sneakers with stiff soles, puncture-resistant city tyres for Indian roads, a reliable kickstand for urban parking, and a quality chain lubricant suited to monsoon or dry conditions depending on your city.
