Moventor 2.0 MIPS MTB Helmet

Mountain biking in India means dusty Aravallis, rocky Sahyadri descents, and Himalayan trails near Leh where a single loose line can end your ride quickly. The Abus Moventor 2.0 MIPS MTB Helmet is built for exactly this kind of riding — combining genuine trail protection with the ventilation you need when temperatures push past 35°C on a Pune hillside or a Coorg forest loop.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

The Moventor 2.0 earns its place on Indian trails by pairing MIPS rotational impact protection with a ventilation system that keeps air moving during the long, sweaty climbs that define riding in the Western Ghats or the Nilgiris. The extended rear coverage offers more protection than a road helmet on unpredictable surfaces, and the adjustable retention system holds firm even when you're bouncing over Hyderabad's broken trail edges. At Rs. 14,850, this is a serious safety investment that does not cut corners.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure head circumference at the forehead before ordering — Abus sizing typically runs S=51–55cm, M=55–59cm, L=59–63cm, but always confirm against the Abus size chart. Indian riders often find European helmets slightly narrow; if you are between sizes, size up. In high-humidity conditions common in Chennai and Kolkata, a snug but not tight fit prevents pressure points on longer rides.

Compatibility Notes

The Moventor 2.0 meets international cycling safety standards. The integrated visor is compatible with most MTB-style cycling sunglasses — verify temple clearance before purchase. The adjustable retention dial works with most helmet liners and caps worn underneath during cooler Leh-altitude rides. Replace this helmet immediately after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible.

Pairs Well With

Complete your trail setup with MTB-specific cycling sunglasses for dust and debris protection, a moisture-wicking cycling cap to manage sweat under the helmet, a trail-rated hydration pack for rides in the Western Ghats, and a quality pair of MTB gloves for grip on technical descents.
