Mtm Trunkbag Ex

Trunk bags sit at the sweet spot between saddle packs and full panniers — enough capacity for a day out without the bulk of a rack-and-pannier setup. The Topeak MTM Trunkbag EX is built for riders who want quick-access storage, reflective visibility on dimly lit Indian roads, and a carry option when they step off the bike.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riding the Pune–Mumbai Expressway service roads, Bangalore's weekend coffee circuits, or loaded day rides up Lonavala, the MTM Trunkbag EX earns its place. The waterproof polyester construction handles India's unpredictable monsoon bursts, the built-in water bottle holder keeps hydration accessible in 35°C+ heat, and the shoulder strap means it doubles as a grab-and-go bag at the dhaba stop. A genuinely practical trunk bag selected for Indian riding conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a bag, not apparel, so fit is about your bike's rear rack or seatpost interface rather than body measurements. Confirm your rear rack dimensions or seatpost diameter before ordering. If you ride a carbon frame or a non-standard rack width common on some Indian-market bikes, contact Cobbled Climbs before purchase — our team can verify compatibility quickly.

Compatibility Notes

The MTM Trunkbag EX is designed for use with Topeak's MTM (MasterTorque Mount) compatible racks. Verify your existing rack is MTM-ready before ordering. The polyester shell is waterproof and easy to wipe clean after muddy rides. Avoid prolonged UV exposure during storage — Indian summer sun degrades bag materials faster than European conditions.

Pairs Well With

Round out your carrying setup with a compact frame bag for tools and tubes, a handlebar bag for longer overnight routes through Coorg or Ooty, a quality mini-pump that clips to your frame, and a set of reflective ankle bands for night riding safety on Indian highways.
