Mtr12 10x142mm Quick Release DISC Brake Rear Hub

The Bitex Mtr12 is a disc-brake rear hub built around the 10x142mm quick-release thru-axle standard, offering precise bearing placement and a reliable engagement system for riders who want a quality hub foundation for a custom or replacement wheelset. Whether you're building wheels for daily training, Ghat climbing, or gravel exploration, this hub delivers dependable performance at a sensible price point.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian riders tackling everything from Pune's expressways to the broken tarmac around Ooty or Coorg, a hub that rolls smoothly and engages crisply matters every single ride. The Bitex Mtr12 hits a practical sweet spot: precision internals without the premium price of European alternatives. Selected for Indian conditions where road grime and monsoon spray accelerate bearing wear, this hub rewards riders who prioritise reliability over brand logos.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This hub uses the 10x142mm quick-release thru-axle standard — confirm your frame's rear axle specification before ordering. Check your disc mount standard (Centerlock or 6-bolt) and cassette body type (Shimano HG, SRAM XD/XDR, or Campagnolo) to ensure full compatibility. Most modern disc road and gravel frames in India use 12x142mm thru-axle; verify your exact spec carefully.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for 10x142mm quick-release disc brake frames. Confirm your rotor mount standard (Centerlock or 6-bolt) and cassette body before building. Works with standard spoke lacing patterns. In India's monsoon conditions, periodic bearing inspection is recommended; clean and re-grease after heavy rain exposure to maintain smooth rolling.

Pairs Well With

Build a complete wheel around this hub by pairing it with a quality double-wall rim suited to your tyre width preference, stainless steel or butted spokes, nipples and spoke prep, and a torque wrench for precise installation. A disc rotor matching your brake calliper standard completes the setup.
