Natural Cork Bartape

Bar tape is the most personal contact point on any road bike, and in Indian conditions — rough tarmac, sweaty palms from 35°C+ heat, and long climbs through the Western Ghats — the material choice matters deeply. BTP's Natural Cork Bartape brings a Time-tested natural material to your handlebar wrap, balancing grip, cushioning, and feel on every surface.

Use Cases

Daily training. Comfortable reach and bar shape for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and compact drop for competitive fit.

Long endurance rides. Multiple hand positions for fatigue management on full-day rides.

Our Take

Cork has earned its place on handlebars for good reason: it absorbs road buzz naturally, wicks moisture rather than turning slippery, and softens under hand pressure over time. For Indian riders tackling the patched tarmac of Pune's outskirts or the relentless climbs above Lonavala, the BTP Natural Cork Bartape offers genuine comfort without synthetic stiffness. It is a smart, affordable upgrade at Rs. 2,490 for riders who want feel over flash.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Bar tape sizing is universal — one roll typically covers a standard drop handlebar. Indian riders with smaller hands may prefer a single-layer wrap for a thinner grip feel, while those riding long endurance routes toward Coorg or Ooty may benefit from a double-wrap for extra cushioning. No European-to-Indian conversion required; simply match to your bar style.

Compatibility Notes

BTP Natural Cork Bartape is compatible with all standard road drop handlebars — aluminium or carbon. It works alongside Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo shifter hoods. Replace bar tape every six to twelve months under regular Indian riding conditions, or sooner if grip or cushioning visibly deteriorates from monsoon moisture exposure.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup by pairing this bartape with quality cycling gloves for added grip, ergonomic handlebar end plugs, a reliable stem for dialled positioning, and a torque wrench to ensure clean installation without damaging your bars.
