Obermayer EVO DISC Wheelset

At Rs. 7,26,000, the Lightweight Obermayer EVO DISC Wheelset sits at the very peak of what road cycling engineering can offer. Built around precision hub internals and optimised bearing placement, these wheels are crafted for riders who demand the absolute best — whether charging up the Western Ghats, cutting through Chennai's coastal winds, or targeting fast laps on Pune's expressway stretches.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Very few upgrades change how a bike feels as dramatically as a wheelset of this calibre. The Obermayer EVO DISC is not simply a performance purchase — it is a long-term commitment to riding at the highest level. For Indian conditions, where a single route can shift from glass-smooth tarmac to broken surface mid-ride, the combination of lateral stiffness and quality bearing engagement makes every watt count, especially on demanding Ghat climbs where rotational weight matters most.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Wheelset fit is not about body dimensions — it is about frame compatibility. Confirm your axle standard (thru-axle dimensions differ between fork and rear), disc rotor interface (Centerlock or 6-bolt), and cassette body type before ordering. Indian summers above 35°C place extra load on bearings; Lightweight's precision internals are well-suited to sustained heat-exposure riding.

Compatibility Notes

The Obermayer EVO DISC is designed for disc brake road use. Verify thru-axle dimensions match your specific frame and fork. Confirm cassette body compatibility — Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, and Campagnolo options vary. If running tubeless, use high-quality sealant and tubeless-rated tyres. Follow Lightweight's recommended service intervals to maintain bearing performance.

Pairs Well With

Complete this wheelset with high-performance road tyres selected for your rim's internal width, a quality tubeless sealant and valve kit, disc rotors matched to your brake calliper, and a calibrated torque wrench for correct installation to manufacturer specifications.
