Openrun PRO 2 Mini

Open-ear audio is a genuine safety consideration for cyclists in India, where traffic is unpredictable and roads demand constant attention. The Shokz Openrun PRO 2 Mini uses bone-conduction technology to deliver sound through your cheekbones rather than your ear canal, keeping both ears free to hear the world around you — a meaningful advantage on busy streets in Delhi, Pune, Chennai, or Ahmedabad, and on technical descents around Coorg or Ooty.

Our Take

For Indian riders navigating city commutes, early-morning group rides on Hyderabad's Outer Ring Road, or long climbs toward Lonavala and Khandala, the Openrun PRO 2 Mini makes a strong case for bone-conduction audio. The Mini variant suits riders who prefer a slightly more compact fit. Sound is clear enough for music and podcasts without pulling attention away from the road. Waterproof construction is a practical asset during monsoon season, and the lightweight wraparound frame stays in place under a helmet across hot, humid Indian riding conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Openrun PRO 2 Mini is designed for riders with smaller head profiles — a common fit preference among Indian cyclists. The flexible titanium frame wraps behind the neck; transducers rest in front of the ears without entering the ear canal. If you ride with a standard or larger adult head size, the standard Openrun PRO 2 may suit better. No ear insertion means no discomfort during long rides at 35°C+ heat.

Compatibility Notes

Connects via Bluetooth to any smartphone, cycling computer, or tablet — compatible with iOS and Android. The built-in microphone supports hands-free calls. Waterproof construction suits monsoon riding and heavy sweat sessions. The behind-the-neck band sits clear of most road and MTB helmet retention systems and strap configurations without adjustment.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing with a Bluetooth-enabled cycling computer for audio cue integration, a well-ventilated road or MTB helmet, a compact charging cable for your saddle bag, and a handlebar or stem-mounted phone holder to keep navigation accessible while riding.
