Organic/steel Elixir/lvl SRAM DISC Brake Pad

India's riding calendar throws everything at brake pads — monsoon downpours on Pune-Lonavala descents, sustained heat above 35°C on Chennai and Hyderabad roads, and the grinding grit of Delhi's traffic. The SRAM Organic/Steel Elixir/Level Disc Brake Pad is built for exactly these demands, offering consistent modulation and reliable stopping power across the SRAM Elixir and Level brake families.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riders tackling the Western Ghats, Coorg trails, or Ooty climbs, braking confidence is non-negotiable. This organic compound pad delivers progressive, controllable modulation — excellent for technical descents where feel matters as much as raw power. The steel backing plate keeps pad-to-caliper contact precise and rattle-free. In 35°C+ conditions common across India's plains, organic compounds manage heat better than many riders expect at this price point of Rs. 2,190.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These pads are not sized by rider weight or body measurements — compatibility is caliper-specific. Confirm your brake caliper is a SRAM Elixir or SRAM Level model before ordering. No European-to-Indian sizing conversion applies here. However, heavier riders doing sustained Ghat descents in Pune or Lonavala may want to inspect pads more frequently due to increased heat load on longer braking events.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for SRAM Elixir and Level hydraulic disc brake calipers. The organic compound works with standard steel rotors; avoid pairing with carbon-specific rotors. SRAM hydraulic systems use DOT 5.1 fluid — do not mix with mineral oil. Check rotor diameter (140/160/180mm) matches your frame and fork specifications. Replace pads before backing plate contacts rotor.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking service with compatible SRAM rotors, DOT 5.1 brake fluid for annual bleeding, a dedicated bleed kit for hydraulic maintenance, and a torque wrench to correctly re-install caliper bolts after pad changes.
