Outrider MIPS Helmet

The Sweet Protection Outrider MIPS Helmet is built for riders who refuse to compromise on protection or comfort. With an integrated MIPS system, active ventilation, and an adjustable retention system, it addresses the real demands of road cycling in India — from Pune's punishing summer climbs to monsoon descents on the Western Ghats.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

At Rs. 14,900, the Outrider MIPS sits in the serious-enthusiast bracket — and it earns that position. The MIPS liner adds meaningful rotational protection without significantly increasing weight, while the ventilation system keeps airflow moving on sustained climbs toward Lonavala or Ooty where the heat and effort combine. The adjustable retention system dials in a secure fit for all-day rides, and the purple colourway stands out cleanly in Indian road traffic. A well-considered buy for riders logging regular kilometres.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure your head circumference at the forehead — Sweet Protection sizing typically runs S=51–55cm, M=55–59cm, L=59–63cm. This listing is size L. European helmets can run slightly narrow for some Indian riders, so confirm the retention system can accommodate your head shape before ordering. The adjustable cradle helps, but taking a careful measurement first is essential.

Compatibility Notes

The Outrider MIPS is certified to international safety standards including EN 1078. It works with most road and gravel cycling disciplines. The retention system fits standard adult head circumferences. Compatible with a wide range of cycling sunglasses — verify temple clearance if using wider-armed frames. Replace immediately after any significant impact, even without visible external damage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with a moisture-wicking cycling cap for sweat management under the helmet, UV-protective cycling sunglasses, a lightweight road cycling jersey suited to 35°C+ conditions, and a rear visibility light for safer riding on Indian roads. Browse all categories at Cobbled Climbs.
