Padrone+ Wireless Cyclocomputer

The Cateye Padrone+ Wireless Cyclocomputer is a clean, focused data companion for riders who want reliable metrics without complexity. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats, training through Chennai's coastal heat, or logging early-morning laps around Hyderabad's Hussain Sagar, this computer keeps essential ride data front and centre on your handlebars.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Padrone+ earns its place on Indian handlebars through simplicity and dependability. In conditions where 35°C+ heat, monsoon humidity, and unpredictable road surfaces in Pune or Kolkata can overwhelm more complex devices, Cateye's wireless design means fewer failure points. It's a strong pick for riders who want accurate speed and distance data without wading through touchscreen menus mid-climb on the way to Lonavala.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Cyclocomputer sizing relates to handlebar and mount fit rather than body measurements. The Padrone+ uses Cateye's standard FlexTight bracket, which accommodates most road and MTB handlebar diameters common in India. Riders using aftermarket or wider MTB bars should confirm compatibility before ordering. Contact Cobbled Climbs if you need guidance on bracket fit for your specific setup.

Compatibility Notes

The Padrone+ operates wirelessly and pairs with Cateye's dedicated speed and cadence sensors. It is not ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart enabled — it uses Cateye's own wireless protocol, so it will not pair with third-party heart rate monitors or sensors. Ensure your sensor purchase matches the Cateye wireless ecosystem. Mount uses the standard FlexTight bracket system.

Pairs Well With

Complete your data setup with a matching Cateye wireless speed or cadence sensor, a durable out-front handlebar mount for better sightlines on technical descents, a waterproof cycling bag for monsoon commutes, and a quality set of cycling gloves for all-weather grip and comfort on longer rides.
