Description
The Parcours Passista RIM Brake Wheelset is a precision-engineered road performance wheelset built for riders who demand aerodynamic efficiency without sacrificing the compliance needed for varied tarmac. Whether you are chasing speed on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway or grinding up the Ghats, this wheelset is designed to reward serious riding with a tangible improvement in feel and pace. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.
Use Cases
Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.
Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.
All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.
Our Take
Rim brake wheels still hold real appeal for weight-conscious climbers tackling Lonavala, Khandala, or Ooty passes — and the Passista is a compelling option at this level. Parcours builds wheels with optimised bearing placement and quality hub internals, translating to smooth, efficient rolling that you feel immediately. At Rs. 1,30,100, this is a serious performance investment, but for dedicated road riders in Pune, Hyderabad, or Chennai, a wheel upgrade delivers the most perceptible ride improvement of any component change.
Sizing for Indian Riders
Wheelset fit is determined by three compatibility checks: axle standard (QR 130mm for rim brake road frames is most common), cassette body type (Shimano HG, SRAM, or Campagnolo), and maximum tyre clearance on your frame. Most Indian road cyclists running older rim brake frames will find QR 130mm rear and QR 100mm front fully compatible. Confirm these specs before ordering to avoid returns.
Compatibility Notes
These are rim brake wheels — confirm your frame and fork use rim brake calipers before purchasing. Verify QR axle dimensions match your frame (standard road is 130mm rear, 100mm front). Use the correct brake pad compound for the rim surface material; incorrect pads cause poor braking and rim damage. Parcours recommends periodic hub bearing service — monitor engagement feel and bearing smoothness to determine service intervals.
Pairs Well With
Complete your setup with a set of performance road tyres sized to the rim's internal width, quality rim brake pads matched to the rim surface, a tubeless valve and sealant kit if converting to tubeless, and a reliable track pump with accurate pressure gauge for consistent tyre inflation on Indian roads.
