Pd-r7000 105 Clipless Pedals

The Shimano PD-R7000 105 Clipless Pedals sit in the sweet spot of the Shimano road hierarchy — serious enough for competitive riding on the Lonavala ghats or Coorg climbs, yet priced accessibly at Rs. 11,170. With positive cleat engagement, serviceable bearings, and the trusted 105 groupset pedigree, these pedals are a confident first clipless choice or a reliable upgrade for committed road cyclists across India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

For Indian road cyclists riding everything from Pune's weekend club runs to the switchbacks above Ooty, the PD-R7000 strikes the right balance. The SPD-SL platform keeps stack height low for efficient power transfer, while the bearing design handles the humidity and dust that Indian roads throw at you regularly. At this price point within the 105 family, you are getting race-grade engagement without paying Ultegra money. A genuinely sensible buy for riders training four or more days a week.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedal sizing here means cleat choice, not shoe size. The PD-R7000 uses Shimano's 3-bolt SPD-SL system, so confirm your road shoes have a 3-bolt cleat mount before ordering. In India's 35°C+ summer heat, feet swell slightly — opt for the yellow 6° float cleat if you are newer to clipless or experience knee discomfort on longer rides. Blue 2° float suits experienced riders with an established pedal stroke.

Compatibility Notes

Fits any crank arm with standard 9/16-inch threaded pedal axle — compatible across Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, and most aftermarket cranks. Works exclusively with 3-bolt SPD-SL cleats; not compatible with 2-bolt SPD or Look Kéo cleats. Service bearings every season if riding through the monsoon. Replace cleats when lateral play becomes noticeable or retention feels inconsistent.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain setup with a matching Shimano 105 groupset, a pair of road cycling shoes with 3-bolt cleat mounts, replacement SPD-SL cleats in your preferred float angle, and a quality pedal wrench for installation and field service.
