Pf4130 Bottom Bracket

The CeramicSpeed PF4130 Bottom Bracket is a precision-engineered press-fit unit built for riders who refuse to compromise on drivetrain performance. Ceramic bearings reduce friction measurably compared to standard steel alternatives, keeping your pedal stroke efficient whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats or chasing pace on the flats outside Pune or Hyderabad. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Ceramic Speed in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

At Rs. 27,999, this is a serious investment — and a justified one. India's riding conditions are hard on bottom brackets: monsoon moisture, dust from unsealed roads, and heat above 35°C all accelerate bearing wear in standard units. CeramicSpeed's ceramic bearings are harder, smoother, and more corrosion-resistant than steel, meaning longer service intervals and more consistent power transfer on long climbs in Coorg or Ooty. For competitive and dedicated recreational riders, the calculus is straightforward.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The PF4130 designation indicates press-fit shell compatibility — confirm your frame's bottom bracket shell diameter and width before ordering. This is not a size like clothing; it is a standards question. Cross-check your frame manufacturer's spec sheet. If unsure, contact Cobbled Climbs before purchase — incorrect press-fit specs can damage both the bearing and the frame shell.

Compatibility Notes

PF4130 is a press-fit standard; verify your frame accepts this shell format. Compatible with a range of cranksets — confirm spindle diameter and chainline match your groupset. Professional installation is strongly recommended: press-fit bottom brackets require a proper bearing press tool to seat correctly without damaging the carbon or alloy shell. Avoid over-greasing ceramic bearings; use bearing-appropriate lubricant only.

Pairs Well With

Complete the drivetrain upgrade with a quality crankset, a ceramic-compatible chain lubricant suited to Indian monsoon conditions, a torque wrench for safe installation, and a chain wear indicator tool to protect your new investment across long kilometres.
