Pf4630 Bottom Bracket

The CeramicSpeed PF4630 Bottom Bracket is a precision-engineered press-fit component built for riders who demand low friction and long service life. Whether you're grinding through the Western Ghats, tackling Pune's training circuits, or logging base miles through Chennai's humid corridors, a quality bottom bracket is the silent engine behind every pedal stroke. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

CeramicSpeed has built a reputation on one thing: reducing friction at every bearing interface. The PF4630 brings that philosophy to the press-fit bottom bracket standard, offering measurably smoother pedalling than stock alternatives. For Indian riders dealing with 35°C+ heat, monsoon humidity, and dusty road surfaces, the quality of internal sealing and bearing grade here genuinely matters — this is a component where spending more upfront means fewer workshop visits over time.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a bottom bracket, not an apparel item — fit is determined by your frame's shell standard and crankset axle diameter, not body measurements. Confirm your frame accepts a PF46 (also known as BB86 or BB92 depending on shell depth) press-fit shell before ordering. Cross-check your crankset brand and axle diameter to ensure full compatibility. If unsure, bring your frame details to a mechanic before purchasing.

Compatibility Notes

The PF4630 designation indicates a press-fit 46mm outer diameter shell. Confirm your frame shell depth (30mm or 41mm) and crankset axle diameter before ordering. Compatible with many current road and gravel cranksets using 30mm or DUB-standard axles — verify against CeramicSpeed's compatibility guide. Professional press-fit installation is strongly recommended; improper fitting damages both the frame and the bearing cups.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain build by pairing this bottom bracket with a compatible road or gravel crankset, a high-quality chain suited to your groupset speed, a bearing press tool for correct installation, and a dedicated bicycle drivetrain degreaser for routine maintenance in India's dusty and humid conditions.
