Derailleur Hanger for XDS

The Pilo D1079 Derailleur Hanger is a precision-machined replacement dropout designed specifically for XDS frames. A small component with a big job, this hanger acts as the sacrificial link between your derailleur and frame — protecting your frame's dropout in the event of a crash or mechanical impact. At Rs. 4,481, it is a sensible insurance policy for any XDS rider.

Our Take

Indian roads — from the broken tarmac of Pune's outskirts to the rocky descents around Lonavala and Khandala — are demanding on drivetrains. A bent or snapped derailleur hanger is one of the most common mechanical failures on club rides. The Pilo D1079 is machined to tight tolerances, ensuring correct derailleur alignment and smooth, accurate shifting right out of the box. Keeping a spare in your kit bag is simply good practice for any serious XDS rider in India.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a frame-specific component — fit is determined by your XDS frame model, not by rider body size. Verify your XDS frame model number before ordering. If you are unsure which hanger your frame requires, contact Cobbled Climbs with your frame's model name and year and we will confirm compatibility before dispatch.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo D1079 is engineered as a direct replacement for compatible XDS frames. It works with standard rear derailleur mounting threads. Pilo hangers are compatible across a wide range of groupsets including Shimano and SRAM rear derailleurs. Always carry a spare — hangers are consumable parts and cannot be straightened reliably once bent.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain protection and maintenance kit with a rear derailleur from the Shimano or SRAM range, a chain wear indicator tool, a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian monsoon or dusty conditions, and a compact multi-tool for trailside mechanicals.
