Derailleur Hanger for BTWIN, Decathlon

The Pilo D187 Derailleur Hanger is a precision-machined replacement dropout hanger designed specifically for BTWIN and Decathlon bicycles. If you have snapped a hanger on a rough patch of road near Pune or during a loaded commute in Delhi, this is the part that gets you riding again without replacing the entire rear dropout or frame. Stocking a spare is simply sensible practice for any regular cyclist.

Our Take

Indian roads punish drivetrain components hard. Potholes on the outskirts of Hyderabad, sudden kerb drops in Chennai, and the occasional gravel spill on the Lonavala descent all apply lateral stress directly to the derailleur hanger — a component deliberately designed to snap before your frame does. The Pilo D187 is machined to tight tolerances, fits the BTWIN geometry correctly, and restores precise shifting. Keeping one in your saddlebag or toolkit is a low-cost insurance policy every BTWIN rider in India should take seriously.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Derailleur hangers are frame-specific, not rider-specific, so body size and fit are not relevant here. What matters is verifying your exact BTWIN or Decathlon frame model before ordering. The D187 designation corresponds to a specific dropout interface — cross-check against your frame's model number or the Pilo compatibility chart. If you are unsure, photograph your existing hanger and contact Cobbled Climbs before placing your order.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo D187 is compatible with specific BTWIN and Decathlon bicycle frames only. It works with both Shimano and SRAM rear derailleurs that mount via a standard M10 hanger bolt. Always check thread pitch and hanger profile against your frame before installation. Use a derailleur hanger alignment tool after fitting to ensure accurate indexing across all gears.

Pairs Well With

Complete the repair properly by pairing this hanger with a rear derailleur cable and housing set, a derailleur alignment gauge for precise installation, a chain wear indicator tool to check chain condition after a hanger-snapping impact, and a compact multi-tool to carry on rides so you can swap hangers roadside if needed.
