Derailleur Hanger for Specialized

The Pilo D281 Derailleur Hanger is a precision-machined replacement dropout hanger designed specifically for Specialized frames. A small component with an outsized role, it protects your derailleur and frame during impacts — an important consideration on India's unpredictable road surfaces, where potholes and trail debris can bend a hanger without warning. Available at Cobbled Climbs with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500 and cash on delivery across India.

Our Take

Indian riding conditions — from Pune's cracked city roads to the rocky descents around Coorg and Ooty — put constant stress on drivetrain components. A bent hanger will throw your shifting out of alignment instantly, and riding on one risks destroying a derailleur worth many times the cost of this part. The Pilo D281 is machined to tight tolerances, fits Specialized geometry precisely, and is the kind of inexpensive insurance every Specialized owner should carry as a spare.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Derailleur hangers are frame-specific rather than rider-specific, so sizing here means confirming your exact Specialized frame model and year before ordering. Pilo catalogues hangers by frame compatibility, and the D281 is matched to specific Specialized models — check your frame's dropout shape against Pilo's fitment guide or contact our team at Cobbled Climbs to confirm compatibility before purchase.

Compatibility Notes

The D281 is designed for specific Specialized bicycle frames — verify your model and year for a correct fit. Compatible with both Shimano and SRAM rear derailleurs. The hanger uses standard derailleur thread. Inspect the hanger after any impact and replace if bent; attempting to re-straighten aluminium hangers weakens the material and is not recommended.

Pairs Well With

Keep your drivetrain protected and running smoothly by pairing this hanger with a quality rear derailleur, a chain wear indicator tool to monitor drivetrain health, derailleur alignment tools for precise setup, and a chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions — wet-lube for monsoon season, dry-lube for dusty summer roads.
