Pr 1400 Dicut 21 DISC Brake Wheelset

The DT Swiss PR 1400 Dicut 21 Disc Brake Wheelset is a precision-engineered aluminium road wheelset designed for riders who demand reliable stopping power, smooth rolling, and tubeless compatibility. Built around DT Swiss's signature Dicut hub technology and optimised bearing placement, it suits Indian road conditions that shift from smooth expressways to rough back roads within a single ride. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian dealer in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

For riders tackling the Western Ghats, the Pune–Mumbai expressway, or Ooty's demanding climbs, the PR 1400 Dicut 21 hits a compelling balance between stiffness and compliance. The disc brake platform gives confident, fade-free stopping in monsoon descents — a genuine advantage over rim brakes on wet Indian roads. The 21mm internal rim width also opens the door to wider tubeless tyres, improving comfort on Hyderabad's patchy tarmac and Chennai's coastal roads.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a wheelset, not an apparel item — fit means compatibility, not body size. Before ordering, confirm your frame's axle standard (thru-axle dimensions vary), disc rotor interface (Centerlock or 6-bolt), and cassette body type (Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo). Indian summer heat does not affect aluminium rim performance, but tyre pressure should be checked more frequently in temperatures above 35°C.

Compatibility Notes

The PR 1400 Dicut 21 is tubeless-ready and disc brake specific. Confirm your frame and fork axle standards before ordering — mismatches cannot be corrected at home. Pair with tubeless-compatible tyres, valves, and sealant for a complete setup. Disc rotors are sold separately; verify Centerlock or 6-bolt requirement against your brake calipers. DT Swiss publishes clear service interval guidelines for bearing and hub maintenance.

Pairs Well With

Complete your build with tubeless road tyres sized for the 21mm internal width, quality tubeless sealant and valve kit, disc brake rotors in your preferred interface standard, and a calibrated torque wrench for thru-axle installation.
