Premium Grease

India's riding conditions — monsoon downpours, 35°C+ summer heat in Pune and Chennai, dusty roads from Delhi to Hyderabad — put serious stress on every moving part of your bike. Bearing surfaces, threaded interfaces, and pivot points all need proper lubrication to survive long-term. Shimano Premium Grease is a purpose-built solution for exactly these demands.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Shimano Premium Grease is a sensible, reliable choice for Indian riders who take component longevity seriously. In a country where humidity and grit accelerate corrosion faster than in temperate climates, applying quality grease to bottom bracket threads, headset cups, and seatpost contact points is simply good practice. At Rs. 690 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, this is cheap insurance against expensive bearing replacements down the road.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Grease quantity is the only sizing consideration here — apply sparingly to threaded and bearing contact areas to avoid attracting excess dirt. In high-humidity cities like Kolkata and Mumbai, slightly more generous application at bearing interfaces helps displace moisture. For Leh or high-altitude dry conditions, a thinner coat is sufficient. When in doubt, contact the Cobbled Climbs team for application guidance.

Compatibility Notes

Shimano Premium Grease is white-coloured and suitable for road, hybrid, and mountain bikes. It is compatible with metal-on-metal contact points including threaded bottom brackets, headset cups, and pedal threads. Not recommended as a chain lubricant — use a dedicated chain oil for drivetrain links. Verify carbon-safe use on press-fit interfaces before application; consult Cobbled Climbs if unsure.

Pairs Well With

Complete your maintenance kit by pairing this grease with a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions, a chain cleaning device, a set of workshop brushes for hard-to-reach components, and a torque wrench to ensure properly loaded interfaces don't need re-greasing too frequently.
