Primo Road Cycling Helmet

In India's punishing heat — whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats near Lonavala, spinning through Pune's early-morning traffic, or tackling a long weekend ride out of Hyderabad — your helmet is your most important piece of kit. The Gist Primo Road Cycling Helmet is built for riders who refuse to compromise on safety or comfort when temperatures push past 35°C.

Use Cases

Daily training. Ventilated construction for 35°C+ Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai training rides.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and certified safety standards for competitive efforts.

Long endurance rides. Comfort-first padding and adjustable retention for full-day rides.

Our Take

The Gist Primo earns its place at Rs. 7,200 by addressing what Indian road riders actually need: a ventilation system designed for sustained hot-weather effort, a secure adjustable retention system that stays put on rough road surfaces, and certified safety that doesn't need to be questioned. For riders commuting in Chennai, training in Ahmedabad, or tackling weekend climbs in Coorg, this helmet offers reliable protection without unnecessary weight on your head.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Measure your head circumference at the forehead before ordering. Gist's standard sizing runs S=51–55cm, M=55–59cm, L=59–63cm, but Indian head shapes can vary — always cross-check against Gist's published size chart. The helmet must sit level, one finger-width above your eyebrows, with straps forming a V under each ear. Avoid sizing up for a looser feel; a snug, correctly adjusted fit is non-negotiable.

Compatibility Notes

The Gist Primo is certified to international road cycling safety standards — verify the certification mark relevant to your use (EN 1078, CPSC, or equivalent). Compatible with most cycling sunglasses; check temple-arm clearance at the strap buckles. The adjustable retention system fits a range of head shapes. Replace the helmet immediately after any significant impact, even when external damage is not visible.

Pairs Well With

Complete your road setup with a pair of UV-protective cycling sunglasses, a lightweight cycling cap to manage sweat under the helmet, a high-visibility rear light for low-light riding on Indian roads, and a set of road cycling gloves for comfort on longer efforts.
