PRO Cable Crimper and Cutter

Clean cable cuts and properly crimped end-caps are small details that make a real difference to brake and gear performance. The Jagwire PRO Cable Crimper and Cutter is a dedicated workshop and home-mechanic tool built to deliver precise, clean cuts on brake and derailleur cables and housing, while the integrated crimper finishes end-caps neatly without crushing or fraying. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

India's roads — from Pune's rough urban tarmac to the steep descents above Lonavala — demand cables that shift and brake with total reliability. Frayed cable ends and poorly crimped caps are a common cause of cable fray over time. The Jagwire PRO Cable Crimper and Cutter gives home mechanics and workshop techs the tool to finish every cable installation correctly, which matters especially when heat and humidity accelerate cable wear across Indian riding seasons.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a hand tool, not a sized product, so fit is not a concern. The tool is designed to suit standard adult hand sizes comfortably. Indian mechanics working in warm workshop conditions — Hyderabad, Chennai, or Delhi summers regularly exceed 40°C — will find the grip ergonomics practical for extended use during cable replacement sessions.

Compatibility Notes

Designed to cut standard brake and derailleur cables and housing types used across road, mountain, and hybrid bikes. Works with both inner wire and outer housing. Compatible with Jagwire's own cable systems and most third-party cable brands including Shimano and SRAM cable sets. Not intended for hydraulic hose cutting, which requires a separate dedicated tool.

Pairs Well With

For a complete cable service setup, pair with a full brake and derailleur cable and housing kit, cable end-cap assortment packs, cable tension tools or barrel adjusters, and a general workshop multi-tool set.
