PRO Road Braze-on Chain Catcher

A dropped chain mid-climb is one of cycling's most frustrating moments — especially on a steep Western Ghats ascent or during a fast criterium. The K-Edge PRO Road Braze-on Chain Catcher is a precision-machined component designed to prevent exactly that, keeping your chain on the front chainring and your ride uninterrupted across India's varied and demanding roads.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

For Indian riders tackling rough tarmac on the Pune-Lonavala highway, dusty descents near Hyderabad, or fast group rides in Chennai and Delhi, a dropped chain is more than an inconvenience — it can be a safety risk. The K-EDGE PRO Road Braze-on Chain Catcher mounts cleanly to braze-on front derailleur bosses and offers a reliable mechanical guard that works quietly in the background every single ride. At Rs. 3,000 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, it is a straightforward upgrade that pays for itself quickly.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a sized product, but compatibility matters. Confirm your frame has a braze-on front derailleur mount before ordering — this catcher is not suitable for clamp-on derailleur mounts. It is designed for road bikes and suits 10, 11, and 12-speed drivetrains. No European-to-Indian size conversion is needed, but do check your frame spec carefully. Available in Black, Red, Blue, and Silver to match your build.

Compatibility Notes

The K-EDGE PRO Road Braze-on Chain Catcher is compatible with road drivetrains using a braze-on front derailleur mount. It works across 10, 11, and 12-speed groupsets from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Not compatible with clamp-on mounts or mountain bike drivetrains. Installation requires basic allen keys. Clean the mount point before fitting, especially after monsoon-season riding, to prevent corrosion buildup under the clamp area.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain protection setup with a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian wet and dry conditions, a chain wear checker tool, a compact multi-tool with chain breaker for ride emergencies, and a front derailleur from a compatible groupset family to round out a reliable shifting system.
