PRO Shop Chain Tool 5 to 12 Speed

Chain repairs happen when you least expect them — halfway up a Lonavala climb, deep into a Coorg coffee-estate loop, or during a weekend brevet outside Pune. The IceToolz PRO Shop Chain Tool covers 5- through 12-speed drivetrains, making it one of the most versatile chain tools available for home workshops and on-the-road emergency kits alike. At Rs. 2,490 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, it's a practical addition to any Indian cyclist's toolkit. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

India's roads are hard on drivetrains. Dust from Delhi's outer ring roads, monsoon grit on the Ghats, and the general stop-start of urban riding in Chennai or Hyderabad all accelerate chain wear. When a chain eventually snaps or needs replacing, a capable chain tool is non-negotiable. The IceToolz PRO Shop Chain Tool handles everything from vintage 5-speed setups to modern 12-speed groupsets, making it genuinely future-proof for riders upgrading their drivetrain over time.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a workshop tool, so physical sizing does not apply. What does matter is drivetrain compatibility — confirm your current speed count (5 through 12) before purchase. The tool works across that full range, so whether you're running an entry-level groupset or a high-end 12-speed setup on a road or gravel bike, you are covered without needing a separate tool.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with 5- to 12-speed chains across road, gravel, MTB, and urban drivetrains from brands including Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Not designed for 1-speed or BMX chains. Store away from monsoon humidity to prevent corrosion on the tool's steel components. Genuine IceToolz product supplied by Cobbled Climbs — authorised stock, shipped from Mumbai.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain maintenance kit with a chain wear indicator tool, a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions (wet lube for monsoon, dry lube for summer), a set of quick-link master links matching your speed, and a chain cleaning device for regular degreasing after dusty or wet rides.
