PRO Slick Polished Shift Cable

Shifting precision starts with the cable. The Jagwire PRO Slick Polished Shift Cable is a straightforward but meaningful upgrade — or replacement — that restores crisp, accurate gear changes on any mechanical drivetrain. In India's heat, humidity, and post-monsoon grime, inner cable quality directly determines how long your shifting stays sharp. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Indian riding throws a lot at cables — monsoon moisture in Mumbai, dust on Pune's outskirts, and the grinding effort of Western Ghats climbs all accelerate wear. The PRO Slick Polished finish reduces friction at housing entry points, where drag builds first. For riders doing regular Lonavala or Khandala loops, a fresh shift cable noticeably lightens the action through your shifter levers. Replace annually post-monsoon for best results.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Shift cables are universal in the sense that cable length is cut to fit during installation — not selected by rider size. What matters is cable head type: Shimano/SRAM use a barrel end, Campagnolo uses a pear-shaped end. Confirm which your shifters require before ordering. At Rs. 500 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, pairing with housing is sensible.

Compatibility Notes

The PRO Slick Polished Shift Cable is designed for mechanical shifting systems. Verify your shifter's cable head requirement — barrel (Shimano/SRAM) or pear (Campagnolo) — before installation. Not compatible with electronic or hydraulic shifting systems. Pair with quality cable housing and cut with a dedicated cable cutter to avoid fraying. All Jagwire products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cable service with quality shift cable housing for full friction reduction, cable end caps to prevent fraying, a cycling-specific cable cutter for clean cuts, and a dropper or chain lubricant to maintain the drivetrain after the cable refresh.
