Proxim W660

The Prologo Proxim W660 is a performance-oriented road saddle built for riders who spend serious Time in the saddle — whether that's grinding through the Western Ghats on a Sunday morning or logging back-to-back training kilometres on the roads outside Pune or Hyderabad. Comfort, shape, and cover material all work together to determine how your ride ends.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Proxim W660 sits in Prologo's comfort-performance bracket, making it a strong choice for Indian riders who balance long training rides with occasional race days. In temperatures regularly exceeding 35°C — think Chennai summer or the Deccan Plateau in May — saddle breathability and foam density that holds its shape over hours become non-negotiable. Give this saddle five to six rides before forming a firm opinion; the break-in period is real and worth the patience.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Prologo saddles typically come in two or three width options. To find your fit, measure your sit-bone width: sit on firm cardboard, note the two pressure marks, measure between their centres, then add approximately 25mm. Indian riders commonly fall in the 130–145mm width range. In high heat, a slightly wider platform can reduce focal pressure on long climbs like Khandala or Coorg.

Compatibility Notes

The Proxim W660 uses a standard rail system compatible with 7×7mm seatpost clamps found on most road and gravel seatposts. Confirm your seatpost diameter — commonly 27.2mm, 30.9mm, or 31.6mm — before ordering. If your seatpost uses a carbon rail clamp, apply manufacturer-specified torque values and use carbon assembly paste to prevent slipping without over-tightening.

Pairs Well With

Get more from this saddle by pairing it with quality padded bib shorts for long-distance comfort, a compatible seatpost in the correct diameter for your frame, chamois cream for India's hot and humid riding months, and a lightweight saddle bag for touring and commute essentials.
