Pursuer Wired

India's roads demand a lot from a tyre — cracked tarmac in Pune, flooded city streets during the monsoon, the punishing climbs of Lonavala and Coorg, and long training stretches where every watt and puncture matters. The Maxxis Pursuer Wired is a wired-bead road tyre engineered to meet those demands head-on, balancing rolling efficiency with the durability Indian cyclists need day after day.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riders training through Chennai's heat or tackling the Western Ghats on weekends, the Pursuer Wired offers a dependable, no-fuss setup in a rigid wired-bead format. It suits daily training use where consistent puncture resistance and predictable grip matter more than marginal weight savings. The wired bead makes mounting straightforward — a genuine advantage when fitting tyres roadside in 35°C+ conditions without a workshop in sight.

Sizing for Indian Riders

European tyre sizing uses bead diameter (700c is standard for road) combined with width in millimetres. Indian roads — including patched surfaces in Delhi and Hyderabad — reward slightly wider fitments; a 28mm or 32mm width absorbs road buzz better than narrower options. Confirm your rim's internal width and hooked-bead compatibility before ordering, as wired tyres require hooked-rim profiles.

Compatibility Notes

The Pursuer Wired uses a rigid wired bead and is designed for hooked road rims — it is not tubeless-ready and requires an inner tube. Compatible with standard 700c road wheels. Pair with a quality butyl tube and ensure tyre pressure suits your rider weight and road surface; check Maxxis's pressure guidelines for reference.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with quality butyl inner tubes sized to match, reliable tyre levers for roadside changes, a mini floor pump or CO2 inflator for emergency inflation, and a saddle bag to carry spares on longer rides through Ooty or Khandala. Available at Cobbled Climbs with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500.
